Hammer Drill
If you are going to buy a drill, you should get a hammer drill. A hammer drill works like a conventional drill, with an additional mode called hammer mode. In Hammer mode, it pounds the drill bit in and out while it is spinning. This is useful when drilling holes in brick and concrete using masonry bits. When this mode is turned on, the drill makes an exceptional amount of noise, so we'd recommend wearing hearing protection.
Other handy features of the drill, are an led light that helps when using the drill at night and in dark spaces, as well as the removable handle.
