Rolling Raised Planter Box
After a career as a ballet dancer, some members of our household don't get super excited about the prospect of kneeling or bending over for hours to tend to a few herbs and veggies.
So we recently acquired some of these rolling raised planter boxes for our studio. It's made out of cedar and aluminum so we have high hopes for it standing up to the elements. Our plan is to start the containers inside when it's still a bit frosty, roll them out when it gets warm, and roll them back in when it gets frosty again.
Seems like the perfect size for some basil, thyme, rosemary, chives, and any other herbs or small fruit/veggies you're into. We will report back! (note that these also come in "eco-stain" colors with self-watering which is what we got--they're almost black-- but they didn't come with the wheels and the wheels are backordered, so we're recommending the plain cedar for now!)
