Collaboration: Chris Rubino – Some of Us Had Been Threatening Our Friend Colby

In the fall of 2014 we approached by Chris Rubino to help him capture aerial footage for his independent short, a filmic rendition of postmodern writer Donald Barthelme's short story about teenage conformity, first published in the New Yorker in 1973, Some of us had been threatening our friend colby

I met Chris Rubino at Syracuse University in 1993, where we were both Computer graphics majors.

We were brought in to shoot the Aerial footage that would be used to open and close the film. With just a few takes at "golden hour" we were able to create some footage that delivered the dream like quality that Chris was looking for.

Shot in early November 2014, we were excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with Chris his team and the @radical media crew.
