Recessed Electric Projection Screen

We're big projection fans, in part because it's a great way to hide a big clunky piece of technology when it's not in use. We really dislike a giant black screen staring at us, and the magic of projection is that it eliminates that experience (and also the fear of that giant piece of glass falling to the floor).

While you can technically project onto any light-colored surface (we've used painted walls, and even seamless photography backdrops) at Cook House we wanted a truly seamless experience where a projection screen could appear from the ceiling at an ideal location at the touch of a button.

This is a really economically priced drop-down projection screen, which rolls up beautifully into a flush white aluminum box that you install in your ceiling. It's a kit, so it comes with most of what you need.

We further optimized the experience with some smart tech that makes it so that the screen automatically drops when you turn the projector on :0

Something to note... there are a ton of size options for these screens, and it really impacts the look and the experience to get it sized correctly. We recommend testing with the projector you are going to use–and in the room and positions you want–to find the correct/optimum screen size. (Projectors with zoom and lens-shift features will give you additional flexibility).
