Unfortunately, refrigerator design is generally pretty gross. Rounded bulbous handles, blue lights, annoying beeps, awkward water dispensers, inefficient drawers, the list goes on. And if the design isn't gross, the fridge is usually upwards of $5k. Enter Fisher Paykel, and their beautifully minimalist line of kitchen appliances for fairly reasonable prices.

We love the clean lines, squared-off edges and efficient interior layout of this fridge so much we bought one for Cook House after living with one in our own home. The beverage dispenser is pretty neat and simple too... it's super shallow to allow you to get water out and into any size container, not just whatever will fit in the dispenser well.

This is the basic counter depth version... which still fits in nicely. The doors will still sit proud of the cabinets so you'll need space on either side for the doors to swing-out. There's also a version that is "built-in" counter depth (only the handles will stick out beyond the counters, and the door hinges make it so the doors stay contained) but it's considerably more expensive.
